Lumis Audience Terms

Your account

Lumis is operated by Brief Candle LLC. These terms govern your platform audience account and public profile. Provide accurate account details, protect your login and do not impersonate others or evade account restrictions. You must have legal capacity to accept these terms, or the authorization of a parent or guardian where legally permitted. The platform is not directed to children under 13; do not create an account if you are under 13.

Your profile and choices

You retain rights to profile text and images you upload. You grant Brief Candle LLC permission to store, resize and display them to provide your chosen profile features. You must have permission to use them. Your profile stays private until you publish it. Publishing makes the selected profile information visible to other people. Favorites and follows are shown publicly only when you enable those settings. Your email address and quantified reaction readings are not public-profile fields.

Watching films

You receive permission to watch available films personally through Lumis. You do not acquire ownership of films or permission to redistribute, copy, commercially screen or bypass protection on them. Filmmakers create the available paths. Enabling the webcam lets Lumis quantify visible reactions at selected moments and use the readings to select a path. Camera permission and applicable reaction-data permissions are separate from accepting these account terms. Camera footage is processed on your device, not recorded or uploaded by Lumis. Numerical readings are not verified feelings or medical assessments.

Platform rights

Brief Candle LLC retains its rights in Lumis software, branding, analytical systems and derived analytics, subject to applicable law and your privacy rights. An audience account does not transfer those rights to you. Ownership language does not waive your rights over personal information or authorize uses contrary to the Privacy Notice. This agreement does not authorize sale of your personal information, advertising tracking, marketing emails or webcam access.

Appropriate use

Do not upload unlawful, infringing, abusive or nonconsensual intimate material; exploit minors; impersonate others; send spam; manipulate engagement; scrape private information; or attack or bypass the service’s security. Report violations and rights complaints to frank@briefcandle.co. We may restrict content or accounts for material breaches, safety risks or legal requirements. Where lawful and practicable we will explain the action. You may appeal by emailing us within 30 days.

Availability, payments and responsibility

The audience account is free. Paid features require a separate disclosed checkout; this acceptance does not authorize charges. Films and features can change or become unavailable. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or particular outcomes. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available and neither party is responsible for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer protections, fraud or willful misconduct.

Leaving Lumis and resolving issues

You may unpublish your profile and request account deletion through support at frank@briefcandle.co. Shared authentication means deletion may affect the app and website; confirm the requested scope with support. Deleting an account is different from signing out. Retention and deletion are described in the Privacy Notice. Contact us first to resolve disputes; unresolved matters may be brought before courts with lawful jurisdiction under applicable law. These terms impose no mandatory arbitration or class-action waiver.

Changes and contact

We will give notice of material changes and request fresh acceptance when needed. Your nonwaivable legal rights remain intact. A provision that cannot be enforced does not invalidate the others. Contact Brief Candle LLC at frank@briefcandle.co.
